2: Text to self: My Uncle Ricky had shot a gun fire and it was loud. You could hear the craking sound just like when henrry hears the loud cracking sound he heard that was as loud as a Gn fire. Page: 58 paragraph:3
Artful Artist. I drew a pichure of will and J.P. they where tring to get the hevy cannon up the hill. it reaches the top but the cannon slips and tumbues down the hill.J.P. tried to run but he trips so will saves his life. Victor Chung
dear Victor What page or charpter was it on I,d like to learn more about that comment that you posted of when the cannons tumble down the hill and will saves J.P's life.
I picked chapter 19 paragragh 1 because it shows how the man felt. I felt bad for what the man had to go through because the book says that his back ached his shoulders burned whith pain. Thats why I picked that part. ~Josuan
Why did you choose the part about the cannon falling into the lake? Did you find it interesting? Sad? Descriptive? If you were Will, how would you have felt during that scene?
Dear A.J. from:Matthew, There was a guy that got hurt his name was J.P..He broke his arm when the cannon strings snapped then the cannon fell into the pond
Dear Everyone, Just to clarify when I was doing my job I thougt that when the drunk guy was in the middle of the road I thought that was scary because if you see a guy in the colonial army lying on the road you would think he was dead. So thats why I said it was scary... I thougt it was funny because Will Knox wipped him and sweared to him. Its also worth rembering because of all that happened.Matt
Can you elaborate more on your snowstorm /cracking ice connections? How did you feel when you were involved in that? How do you think your situation compares to the troops in the story?
why did three troopships come from englandwith a whole passelof new sojers.why did they want to tell bow wow that howes had to scrap from the bottom of the barrel.what is the point of the book.
AJ Parking lot I have a connection to the world We were recently talking about rumors in the 18th chapter of guns for general washington, paragraph 3 it says that there were rumors going around about the british
Dear Mrs.DiNapoli, What would have happened was that A if they did not cooperate good together Will Knox would have abandoned soliders and would not get to George washingtons army.B they would not get to George washinton and they would not deefeat the British. Also I think the colonial army would win with hill advantages and bigger cannons. Matt
Zeuss, What do you think the point of the book is? Maybe there is not necessarily a "lesson" here -but a description of certain events. What do you think would have been different if this trip to Fort Ticonderoga was unsuccessful?
Can anyone help explain what the colonists mean when they say England is "scraping from the bottom of the barrel" to get more soilders? What are the troops in England thinking /feeling at this point?
Zeuss if no one else can answer that question we can talk again! ~Mrs. D.
